That's Amore: Crooks On Tape - 'Fingerprint'
Crooks on Tape is comprised of John Schmersal, Rick Lee, and Joey Galvan. Schmersal and Lee have been playing music together for sometime now, both being members of the now-defunct Enon. Their first album under the new moniker, Fingerprint, came out in late October 2013 on Misra Records. The record is a great mix of instrumental noise- and post-rock with straightforward indie-rock songwriting and pop sensibility. There is fluidity and balance to the album that typically only comes from seasoned veterans like these dudes. Fans of Enon, Ariel Pink, or even the ultra-bizarre Gary Wilson will definitely love Crooks On Tape's warped-pop songs.Give a listen to "If Feelings Mean A Thing" and stream their whole album over at SoundCloud. That’s Amore is a new segment on this here blog where we post about music stuff we like.
