Fort Worth, TX four-piece QUAKER CITY NIGHT HAWKS' brand of hard rock n' roll is bred from Texas boogie, Memphis soul and heavy blues. It's straight up southern rock right out of 1975, played with the fervor of a sermon crackling out of your dad's beat up car radio. Crunch guitar riffs, soulful vocal harmonies and chugging bass lines go down smoother than your first beer on a hot summer night. QUAKER CITY NIGHT HAWKS channel are the spirit of old-school rock n' roll with a no frills approach that'll have you shaking your hips all up and down these old wood floors. Uniting Chicago with our southern friends is local LUKE HENRY & RABBITFOOT. Former Empty Bottle intern (!!) LUKE HENRY credits NEIL YOUNG for saving his soul in the 7th grade. Quite the dude to have rescue you, so you gotta hit him back somehow (right?) and these boys go the extra mile with their heartfelt, American folk rock. Their sound is reminiscent of the golden age with a self-aware, modern touch. Getting the night started is BUBBLES BROWN, a 100% raw, roots-rock duo also from Chicago. Playing with only a guitar, washboard, sock cymbal, percussion, and suitcase bass drum, these naturalist are “influenced by our land and our souls.” That’s some real talk, and since they've played our stage before, we can attest they deliver.
