Proudly calling themselves "the bastard seed of the ’60s psychedelia and ’90s Britpop bloodlines and hailed by NYLON as the "BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE on Prozac," SECRET COLOURS play driving, bucolic, no frills rock into an original sound all their own. Hard at work with producer BRAIN DECK over the past year, the four-piece has us anxiously awaiting the release of Peach, their excellent new LP, out on May 28th. The new record see the ensemble pushing their psychedelic extremes and jangly loose ends – for a preview of what to expect, give a listen to their first single, "Blackbird (Only One)," a morphing, feedback and reverb-drenched blissfest that sounds like it came straight off the boat from Manchester. E+, featuring members of DISAPPEARS and HEAVY TIMES, is a band that shimmers with alien vocal harmonies, infectious synth flourishes and steady driving beats. Giant System says their songs are “like spooky stories about ancient astronauts waking up from carbon sleep on distant planets” and their live shows typically result in a state of rock-the-fuck-out hypnosis. LIONLIMB is a rock band that Loup Loop Press has called “good good good” and we agree gree gree – they open tonight’s show that'll have everyone in this joint cheezin' our faces off.
