Brooklyn's DIIV come at us tonight on the second night of the annual Pitchfork Music Festival to play their second ever headlining show at the Empty Bottle. The band's debut Captured Tracks full-length, Oshin, was listed on Stereogum and Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums of 2012. Equally indebted to shoegaze as they are propulsive Kraut, California psych, and crunchy 80s indie-rock, Impose claims DIIV is "music swishing inside a washing machine from the 1980s, stuck in an eternal spin cycle that somehow sighs summer between the suds." This is the last time you'll see these boys play a room our size in a long time (they opened for NIN last year!), so grab those tickets cause they're gonna go fast. Here's what DIIV says about this tour they're embarking on:

"Hi all — we’re gonna be doing a short, intimate U.S. tour in July to work out a bunch of new songs before we finishing recording them this summer. Smaller venues always means crazier shows, but it also means these are all gonna sell out fast so buy tix in advance. We’re gonna be joined by Regal Degal and LODRO, literally the two best NYC bands right now."
