Power-popping fools MAMA are taking this city by storm with their punky take on old-school rock'n'roll that's all claws and teeth. The band currently has one EP under its belt and it kicks out the motherfuckin' jams with brain-frying guitar licks, punishing rhythms and blown-out vocals. You're definitely not gonna want to miss their first Empty Bottle headlining show tonight. They're joined here by local noise-makers VELOCICOPTER who are returning to our stage for the first time in almost three years. Currently working on a new album, these four maniacs play hair-raising, hard-hitting rock'n'roll with dangerously catchy hooks and raucous riffs. Noisy post-punk trio RODEO hit the Bottle for their first time in a year and a half, playing songs from the heart of the south straight into your mouth. Their wild, classic rock-inspired guitar riffs and scuzzy, abrasive tendencies are catchy as all get out, so don't miss their triumphant return tonight. Local duo C BATTERIES are opening tonight's show, coming all the way from Humboldt Park with their distinct, damaged brand of "death disco."
