SAINTSENECA is a young band from Columbus, Ohio led by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist ZAC LITTLE. Following in the footsteps of heartland bands who have sought to twist the music of the old weird America into new shapes – from the VIOLENT FEMMES to NEUTRAL MILK HOTEL – SAINTSENECA perform songs that sound familiar and uniquely original. The band utilizes a wide range of acoustic instrumentation (balalaika, mandolin, dulcimer, Turkish Baglama, floor percussion) with synthesizers and electric guitars to create a seamless blend of soaring vocals and vibrant post-punk energy. The band will be releasing their highly-anticipated new LP, Dark Arc, on the esteemed ANTI-Records this very month so be on the lookout for these rising stars. English afro-folk-pop ensemble THE MELODIC's debut album Effra Parade on Anti- is the follow up to the band's acclaimed EP On My Way. English newspaper The Observer described the band as "Incredibly beautiful, with harmonies and rich instrumentation that make you want to dance and cry at the same time," while in the US the band has drawn comparisons to indie darlings BEIRUT and THE DECEMBERISTS. BUSMAN's HOLIDAY is a duo comprised of brothers LEWIS and ADDISON ROGERS. Hailing from Bloomington, IN, the band blends the melodic charm of lo-fi acoustics with the ecstatic showmanship of classic rock 'n' roll. The singer/songwriter duo are occasionally accompanied by a string section who fill out their complexly euphonic ballads of love, loss, lust and outer space. Grafting literate, character-driven song craft and Mid-American roots with a post-punk DIY attitude, Chicago-based songwriter, performer and instrumentalist AL SCORCH charts a new musical topography with a five-string banjo. Often accompanied by THE COUNTRY ENSEMBLE, Mr. SCORCH has played our room countless times over the span of his career, warming our hearts with his jubilant anthems and poignant reflections.
