MASSIVE EGO is taking their infectious combination of unapologetic punk swagger, naturally psychedelic brainwaves, and killer pop sensibility on the road with their new unstoppable original album DON’T! The pedigree of this latest musical project from the minds of MAJIK AEON, DANNY RICO and FUMO STROMBOLI reads like a who's who of Chicago's underground fan faves: SNACKS, TENDER, CLOSE HITS. These multi-instrumentalist madmen are notorious for their madcap instrument switching and white-hot, high-energy live music, with their unique dose of madness coming out of the dirtiest of basements and onto our dirty stage tonight. Come bid them farewell, cause their van will probably blow up or something. MAX CLARKE is a member of Chicago garage rock four-piece THE SUEVES and tonight he brings his new band THE CUT WORMS to celebrate the release of their new record, which is filled with some of the dirtiest pop we could possibly hope for. New-ish Chicago band NEGATIVE SCANNER, who formed out of the ashes of one of our favorite dearly-departed garage rock bands, TYLER JON TYLER, are stopping by again to play a punishing set of their dark and twisted guitar-drums-bass pop that feels a whole lot like a punch to the nuts. And as we all know, a punch to the nuts is a great way to start off a night like this. Ladies and gentlemen, JOHN BELLOWS is still alive and well! He returns to kick off tonight’s eclectic bill with his unhinged folk primitivist approach to acoustic songwriting. Whether he’s playing from the stage or unplugged on the floor, BELLOWS’ whirlwind performances constantly keep us guessing and his approachably maniacal charm is sure to win over any crowd.
