Legendary garage-punk trio THE OBLIVIANS are releasing their first album in over fifteen years! Better yet, they're making a stop to play the Bottle on a Saturday night in July! If you're not beyond stoked about all of this, you might want to check for a pulse and/or question your very existence. Formed in Memphis in 1993, THE OBLIVIANS released three full-lengths and a shitload of singles before breaking up in 1998 and leaving a hole in our hearts. The band played blistering punk with a rock'n'roll swing that only the city of Memphis could produce and just like in the old days, this new record sees the members alternating between instruments, each playing guitar, drums and singing lead vocals. And wouldn't you fuckin’ know it, their old friends MR. QUINTRON & MISS PUSSYCAT joined in on the fun, contributing organ, vocals and percussion into the mix. This ain’t your grandpa’s reunion show, kidz, so get ready to tear shit up. HEAVY TIMES broke up earlier this year, and like almost every band that breaks up nowadays, they're back together and better than ever (maybe). Tonight they're celebrating the release of their brand new LP, Fix It Alone, courtesy of the fine folks at HoZac. These fellas aren't timid or vague in their desire to burn your brain and spin your head with their angry punk anthems, smothered with badass guitars and played at break neck speeds. With releases out via HoZac and Rotted Tooth and a new LP coming out via HoZac, HEAVY TIMES specialize in melodious ass-kicking and cavernous grungy pop featuring scuzzy builds, crushing melodic vocal hooks and a dual guitar onslaught. Heavy blues-rockers AUTODRAMATICS hail from Fairfax, Iowa and they bring their gritty, soulful garage-rock to kick things off tonight. The finest GET DRUNK DJs will be spinning the finest rock, punk, and slimey garage throughout the night, so show up early and stay late.
