DIM is a steadily-rising Chicago band that crafts aggressive, heavy shoegaze. The songs have a deep, arresting quality that lock into a groove and distort the senses, leaving the listener broken and begging for more. Though it may feel like DIM is attempting to tear apart your perception of reality, they'll hook you back with lush-yet-noisy instrumentation that's reminiscent of early-MY BLOODY VALENTINE and RIDE. New Chicago trio featuring members of DISAPPEARS (Brian Case / Noah Leger / Jonathan Van Herik), FACS excels at creating a unique meditative space through minimalism and repetition. The group's abstract and modern art rock takes picks up where their previous band left off and we're anxious to see where it goes from here... into the void, we expect. We welcome TORTURE LOVE back to Bottle stage for the first time since opening for THEE OH SEES back in Nov '16. They Came Crawling, released as a joint effort of Protagonist Music and Pressure Group, represents the tacit culmination of their varied influence and sonic exploration. Every time we see these guys they have proven to be a wild but cohesive four-piece. The COCKTAIL TWINS DJs spin throughout the night and early arrival is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Very good Free Monday.
