Impossible Colors is a Chicago-based record label dedicated to releasing independent music in limited-edition runs, mostly on cassette. They explore ways that writing and sharing music can be a force for positive change in our community, and co-sponsor the annual Frontwoman Fest to benefit Girls Rock! Chicago. In December 2016, they released a mixtape of protest music to benefit the Chicago Community Bond Fund, which is dedicated to ending the cash bond system in Cook County and helping vulnerable people accused of crimes get out of jail while awaiting trial. They've co-sponsored several benefit shows for local organizations that fight various forms of oppression and provide needed resources and tonight they're putting together a showcase featuring stellar Chicago acts MYKELE DEVILLE, THE AVANTIST, IMPULSIVE HEARTS and BOYS VS. GIRLS, with profits going to support the Chicago Community Bond Fund. Impossible Colors is curated and run by civil rights lawyer (and part-time frontwoman of AXONS) ADELE NICHOLAS.
